Folks ,
I'm very interested in the Hawkeye All Weather in .270 . I have a 1974 M77 30-06 & I had to glass bed & free float to get it to group . It now shoots MOA and I would NOT get rid of it . I'm right on the verge of ordering ( TODAY ) an All Weather Hawkeye in .270 & I'd like to know how they shoot and any pros / cons you can pass along to me . I've booked a WT Deer hunt in Manitoba in 2013 and I'd like to take the .270 with me , a lot of shots are past 200 yards . I plan on mounting a Leupold VX3 3.5x10x40 on it . I think it will be a nice setup for tree stand hunting .
Thank you in advance for your time and consideration.
Merry Christmas to all ,

I just bought a Hawkeye in 358 win and its the most accurate Ruger I've ever owned. It carries nice too. I read somewhere that the Rugers made in the last year or two are more accurate than the older models and that is true in my case.
