Neighbor found his in a closet. Basically new and wants to what to ask for it. It has the green inserts. Thoughts?

I think the green inserts were only used for the first year, and if correct for the serial number it would command a premium. They seem to be over $1K now if like new, especially with original box and papers.

Very desirable gun. Green inserts rare …. don't let somebody talk you out of them.

Some of us LOVE those skeleton / boat paddle stocks. There's even a recent thread about them somewhere here.

I don't know what the going price is but anything under $400 and you'll not be sorry.
That's about the same age as mine but mine doesn't have green inserts. The rifle is a solid piece of equipment capable of doing anything the ammo can.

$400 wouldn't touch it. You are looking at least twice that, possibly approaching 3 times.

A man should realize he's gettin old when his everyday tools become collectors items. I just noticed last year what these things are bringing.
Heck, mine is in the kitchen is a back porch & yard pesky critter gun. Stainless, rings, sights, boat paddle & green inserts. It's a honey, doubt I'd happy with a cheaper replacement & extra cash in my pocket.
