I shot on the Maryland National Guard rifle and pistol teams and have a tie tack attached to my hat for each type gun I used, HOWEVER I have a High Standard on the hat instead of a Ruger MK II. Does anyone know if or where a Ruger MK tie tack can be found?

There was a small number of very detailed MK series miniatures done many years ago. I recall there being (2) sizes. Both are of tie-tack or hat pin size. I have one that has the spring type tie-tack on the back. But it's not for sale. Mine has a moving bolt too. It's almost 2-1/2" long.
I think I have a plastic one as well, that was part of a GI Joe type toy pack. I'll have to check my other stuff.

So,, yes,, there are a few out there,, but not easily found. And if you find one of the metal ones,, they are NOT cheap.

Here's a picture of what I have. I did dig out my smaller tie-tack and the toy MK's. The plastic ones do not have a way to attach themselves to anything.

Wow! Those are very cool. I've never seen them before. Where do you even begin to look for something like that?
My question too. I found ONE, and it was a gaudy gold color and expensive. I was looking for something like the middle one in Contender's post. None on eBay (except the gaudy MK III)

Both of the real tie-tacks are metal, and rare. The top one, as noted,, is about 2-1/2" long.

I've had these for a long time,, and only other collectors who've seen or found these things seem to know what they are or where they may have gotten them. I do think I got the plastic ones off sleezebay.
