Looking for a laser that will fit my LCP Gen 2

Hi all,

I'm new to this forum so if I have posted this in the wrong spot I apologize in advance.

I have a ruger LCP I got not too long ago and I ordered a crimson trace laser for it. It's the Gen 2 so there is no dash in the serial number. The laser does not seem to fit the later generation? I was wondering if anyone produced a laser for the gen 2 or if I'm out of luck. Or perhaps I'm just an idiot and I'm installing it wrong.

Crimson Trace is very customer service oriented. I'd use the contact spot on their website for this issue.
