Hello all,

My interests in Ruger firearms has been a love for many years… I fall into the single action enthusiast along with the Ruger No.1 rifles…

I have three Number 1s and 3 Blackhawks with a Super Single Single Six thrown in for fun…

I’ve been a hand loader since I was 12 when my father decided I needed to begin making my own 243 ammunition for hunting…. I enjoy shooting Ackley and Gibbs cartridges and I do a little Gunsmithing on my own fire arms as well…

I look forward to meeting you all and learning more about our shared passion and interests…

It is a 7 STW… I polished it out and re-stocked it… it started as the stainless laminate model

I'm from SE Idaho, hunted Deer and Elk near Soda for lots of years. I'm in Arkansas now, long story, but lots of Hogs to hunt.

I grew up in Soda Springs… I still go back to hunt as I have family there…. I still consider it home…. My father’s mom was from Little Rock, other than that I don’t know much about Arkansas ….Thanks for the welcome

One little story about the top revolver in my photo…

It is a small frame custom that started as a .357…. It is a .45LC and it was built, (I believe) in the late 80s … the builder was E.R. Stroup and the most information I could find was that he was big into building PPC heavy target revolvers off of Smith and Wesson as well as Colt frames… He was in the Bay Area of California… I’ve seen some nice examples of these revolvers, but this is the only Single Action that I have ever seen…
I have a friend who took it in on trade in his little gun shop some years back… I only paid $500 for it… Shoots amazing and can handle some serious loads…. I have a 300g Hard cast load that is punishing to shoot, but will punch a hole through anything with teeth….

Just a fun little story about that little number…
