I traded some work for this and really couldn't be more tickled with the gun. It's in my favorite caliber after all :) This is my first go with the Bisley frame and it's really comfortable. The gun balances very well in your hand.

Around my shop something isn't really 'mine' till it gets it's own leather to make it personal. I've been getting a few more requests for ammo belts so I pulled one out of my work bins I cut about a year ago and started working. Been wanting to make a scabbard since I started messing with leather so I made it into one big happy project. Everything is veg tan leather glued and stitch. The outside color is somewhat of an accident. It's usually a dark brown but after an anomaly it ended up a very, very dark brown with a reddish hue. I really like it but probably couldn't have created that color without a crazy happening with a foam brush. The accenting colors of loops straps interiors and stitching aren't something I'd usually call my 'taste' but I think it come together perfectly. So here's to trying something new!

That looks pretty fantastic to me!
It's a rig to be proud of.
The contrasting colors really make it all that more handsome a rig

Thanks for the compliments folks they are much appreciated. I'm proud enough of it to show it off. Now I need to get to work on the actual orders... :)

Love the .44 spl. What's the rifle? A marlin 1894 in .44 rem mag?

I wish. I had one but it was a little rougher than I wanted so i sold it in search of another. Prices have gotten crazy lately though. It's an 1895 45-70. I have a 444P Outfitter on the way so I built the belt with 34 loops. 10 444 and 4 pistol reloads.

Nice! One of my favorite calibers too. Nice belt! The belt I used in my late teens and 20's has 'shrunk' as it no longer fits around my middle, so now I just hang the holster on my pants belt....

I do a lot of pants belts for folks who have a problem with theirs shrinking. Quite frankly with this one...I just wanted it :)

@eaglestroker: Your pictured .45-70 is a great choice too! You mentioned the .444. I know this is off topic, but I would sure love it, if ruger would chamber their #1 in .444 Marlin.

I'm not much for a single shot, but a 444 #1? That would be cool!
