A ton of fun to shoot!!!! :D

First observations right away.
1) Very well built
2) The softest shooting 10MM I have shot -- Due to the single action ergonomics where the grip just roles in your hand.
3) Decent accuracy -- Stay tuned for the Ransom Rest Test
4) Nice trigger with a little take up
5) Functioned 100% -- ejection nice and smooth.
6) Cylinder swap -- Easy nice and smooth
7) A ton of fun to shoot!!!

Apologies for the video quality it was getting dark and I couldn't wait to put rounds down range with this revolver and one of my favorite calibers the 10MM.

Any details on the ammo used for the test? Were these handloads or manufactured ammo?

Hopefully someone in the future can run them over a chrony. Curious to see velocity between the different barrel lengths. Wonder how much gets lost in the shorter barrel.

Most of my handloading for the centimeters has been 165gr and 180gr and shot through my Glock 20 and 29. I lose about 100fps through the 29 compared to the 20. I'm thinking with tighter tolerances on the Ruger, it could easily be in the 1400fps region on the long barrel Blackhawk with 165gr.

They were my handloads, I made up these handloads for Chronographing the SR1911 in 10MM https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CSo62w1Cm8E&t=170s the numbers are included in the video.

I will shoot them across the chronograph from the Blackhawk also.

You just gave me an idea, I know a couple of guys with S&W 610 (10MM) one in 4inch and one in 6inch. I will get them and do a chronograph comparison.

I am looking at this model as well. Reload for both 40 S&W and 10MM. While looking for examples of prices on GB I discovered a 4 5/8 inch barrel option also. I think both barrel length models are very impressive and potentially great fun to shoot. I own three Glocks in 10MM so I feel like I have the "carry in wilderness environment" category covered. This would be a plinker and possible hunter. Going to give this model some serious thought.

Very interesting, particularly the Ransom Rest shots.

Out of curiosity, have you checked the cylinder chamber throats? My Buckeye's throats are all too small to pass a .401" bullet and I'm considering having both cylinders reamed.

I have not checked the throats, being new production I am hoping Ruger knows how to get it right. You must have got an early Buckeye as they were known to have smaller throats, the later models supposedly they got it right.

I will check them and report back.
