Howdy RF Family. Have not done much on here in a while. Busy with work and other matters. Currently dealing with tumors in my leg, nothing to be alarmed about it's not cancer like I thought at first. Just some abnormal blood vessels that decided to form themselves into masses and burrow into the muscle and play showtunes on that big ole nerve that runs through there. Surgery is not an option since they would have to cut muscle out and leave me walking in circles. Shots are the answer, many many shots. I am however still alive and having visions of Lake Lure dancing in my head lol. On a lighter note, my family has decided to take the 25 acres we live on and transform it into a Retreat/petting zoo for battered women and children. Trying to also incorporate Wounded Warrior in the mix complete with animals, catfish ponds, hayrides etc....... Sounds like a good idea to me. But anyways, thought I'd drop a line and say hi.....

Wondering where you'd been.
Glad to know it's not a cancer. But, Lake Lure is still here & if the Good Lord is willing, we'll be doing it all over again this October. The door is open.
Sounds like you are having some good ideas going on there as well!

Glad to hear things are going in the right direction, even if slowly! I was kinda worried Lou mighta talked you into posing for one of the "Where's Lou?" pictures and left you out in the woods when he couldn't find you... As always, a prayer comes from SoCal that you're back in shape long before the next trip to Lake Lure, too.

Always glad to hear from you Charlie, Hopefully, I will make it up to Lake Lure another time this year and If I do, I promise to bring another of my Dump Cakes.
Don't feel bad about the nerves in your leg; I got a problem at L5/S1 that is pinching my sciatic nerve and now is making BOTH sides hurt when I sit/walk/stand/Sleep/ and the other things. The VA is trying PT BUT it aint gonna work. I see their Neurosurgical clinic at the end of the month.
