I've only been reloading for 35 years, so I'm kinda new What is a speed die? I couldn't find it on Lee's website or Midway. Is it just a carbide sizing die/decapper? That didn't make sense to me because if so you wouldn't need a different one for .38 and .357, right? Enlighten me, please.
I have some so I will answer your question. It is a single die with multiple parts that allows you to do the functions of a 3 or 4 die set without the extra die bodies. Designed to speed up loading on a single stage press. It was discontinued a few years ago. They are not multicompatible with shorter catridges although it is possible the 38 die would do 357 but not vice versa.
Thanks buddy. I have a new wrinkle in my brain now. Don't suppose I need any since I have a turret press. I did lose my .38/.357 shellholder somehow the other day, though.
