I have a LCR thats about a year old now. My wife purse carries some times with it (so I'm blaming her) it has what looks like a chip not wear out of the bluing on right side of barrel under the front sight. Do these guns have the type of bluing that can be touched up ,and also is it possible that this could "chip" even more?

read your owners manual---there is information in there concerning
touching up the finish on the aluminum frame.

Thanks JaredSHS, Had a mental block and didn't even think about that. I get used to coming here to search for answers because of all the great people here like yourself!

bigkev98-------anytime.I got a LCR38, the finish on the frame seems
to be pretty tuff. Mine has a bare speck or two on the inside of the
cylinder frame window, but I am not concerned and expect wear there. I try to be careful with my lcr but I carry it every day and I know eventually
I will ding it. You might get your wife one of the Uncle Mikes cloth holsters
that are made for inside the waist carry, they are very soft and thin. She
can slip the LCR into it and then into her purse. I use one for pocket carry.
