My LCR is problem free over various .38, .38+p, and .357 Magnum rounds. Every time I pull the trigger, it goes bang.
I live in Illinois, and can't answer the holster question. I believe the LCR and KLCR are the same dimensions, but different weight.
I believe what would make the biggest difference in holstering and concealed carry would be the grip. I've read opinions that the standard Hogue Tamer grip is quite bulky, and some decide to put on a boot grip.

I have an LCR and a 357 LCR. Both fit in the same Desantis pocket holster.

Same size, same holster and no problems with my 357 LCR. Just got a Hume JIT and I'm really happy with the gun-to-holster fit and overall quality.

Man them puppies got to sting shooting full power SD 357's, makes my hand hurt just to think about it. And this coming from a guy who shoots his S&W 460V as much as he can afford even as a reloader.

Recoil isnt't that bad. I shot 100 rounds of 38 special 158gr and 75 rounds of 357 mag 158gr with no trouble and I'm a bit of a recoil sissy. I can't shoot full power loads from a Blackhawk cause it hurts my hands.

I can live with the largish grips because they are at least highly functional, but this is supposed to be a pocket revolver, duh.
This makes it unable to fit into any of my several SP holsters.

Some people with large hands and fingers so they can release the trigger all the way forward with out getting their finger stuck in the grip. If you look at Hickok45 videos on the LCR and LC9 he will say something about the trigger guards.
