lcr 9mm?

i own a ruger lc9s, but i'm thinking of selling it to a friend. the gun is great and accurate but i just think revolvers are the better gun. he offered me enough for it that i now with the saved money i have can get a lcr 9mm. now the 9mm lcr is the lcr i want, not the 327 or 357. i have over 3000 rds of ammo and growing monthly so 9mm is what i want so i won't have to start buying up another caliber. how many of you have the 9mm?, how has it been?, and would you buy another?. also i will be using this for conceal carry, thanks for any help.

I don't have the 9mm LCR but do have two 9mm SP101s. I recommend that even if you don't reload now save all of your spent casings in case some day you want to reload. I did and now am sitting pretty with a few thousand spare casings ready to be reloaded.

My LCR 9mm has more recoil than my 38 Special +P - but it is still manageable. Accuracy is fine. Since you have a supply of 9mm I'd go on and get it. As boomer suggests, you should save the brass.

The frame around the cylinder is steel -- just like the LCR 357.

The grip frame is polymer.

Weighs the same as the LCR 357 -- about 4 oz heavier than then LCR 38

I like my Ruger LCR (s) in .357 mag and in 9mm. I have a 327 on hold waiting for it to show on 'the list'.

I did put the bigger grip on them.

I also have the LCR 9mm and as mentioned, it has the same steel frame as the 357 model and weighs 17.2 oz as apposed to 13 oz for the 38.
Recoil falls in between 38+p and 357 loads, but for practice (since I reload) I use powder puff loads and no clips. They just fall out of the cylinder when I extract them?

I actually have a second new in box, unfired 9mm LCR which I will probably sell.

Go for it...I wanted a 9mm revolver in the past and if I could have found one, I would have bought it...my tastes have since, changed. But, I think the LCR 9 is perhaps the best 9 revolver, ever offered.

I haven't shot the LCR 9mm, but my LCR 38 kicks pretty good with these Hogue Tamer grips. For me, the 158gr JHP +P's were brutal, while the 125gr JHP +P's were much easier on my hands. Love the XS big dot night sight.

I really miss the two 9mm SP101s I had plus the three S&W 940s & a 547, see bellow..
And of course the 642/942 I fit a 9mm cylinder too..

Wonder about the lcr9s moon clips? Hope they are better than the 9mm SP101s which are all loose & flop around.
