LCR 22 New cylinder finish?

was in my local shop this week and they had a new 22lr LCR in the showcase. Checked it out and it occured to me that it had a blued cylinder--didnt they originally have the target grey finish on the cylinder? It looked fine, but I hadnt heard of the change. Does anyone know if this would be a production change, or a distributor exclusive?

Im trying hard to warm up to the LCR but it seems I always tell myself I would rather spend the same amount for yet another single six!!

My LCR 22LR about a year or so old has the gray cylinder and my friends has the black cylinder, she got it about 2 months ago.

My guess just a production change.
