Will it handle the +P?
writwing said:mikep048 said:Read the manual. No.
Manual does not state that it will not handle +P it merely states not to use it. Big difference.

carbonyl said:The SR-SERIESpistols are compatible with all factory ammunition of the
correct caliber loaded to U.S. Industry Standards, including high-velocity and
hollow-point loads, loaded in brass, aluminum, or steel cartridge cases. No 9mm
Parabellum or .40 S&W ammunition manufactured in accordance with NATO,
U.S., SAAMI, or CIP standards is known to be beyond the design limits or known
not to function in these pistols.
Now to me this means it will be OK to use +P ammunition.

The LCP is not an SR series pistol. The LCP uses 380 acp ammunition.

I don't understand the purpose of your thread if your not willing to take advice. In fact you're not looking for advice, you're looking for support of which you've gotten none. Go and buy some Buffalo Bore +P lead FN's like I tried in my NAA. Buy several boxes while you're at it and report back after making cartridges into empty brass.
Don't buy a used LCP from writwing...
toysoldier said:Using +P ammo in an LCP is like putting a V-8 in a Vega. It can be done, but you won't like the results.
Size and weight restrictions on the design of the LCP mean it isn't suitable for hot loads or running hundreds of rounds a week through it. If you want to do that, why did you buy the LCP in the first place? Get a larger, heavier, all-steel pistol.
carbonyl said:I’m sure Ruger knows the limits of the guns they design and manufacture. They plainly state in their manuals what ammunition they feel is correct for that model. Ruger has a great customer service reputation and I’m sure they don’t want to be fixing or replacing guns (on their dime) that were misused. OK. my last post on the subject.![]()

Not that I ask for anything bad to happen O Lord, I would never do that. I just want writwing to reside with his true brothers, idiots with guns on youtube as it is clearly meant to be.
Can I get an amen?
