LCP 380 Max small crack

Had it about one month. Never dropped it or banged it against anything. Dry fired a bunch is all.
If it's just cosmetic and won't worsen I don't care. Should I send it to Ruger?

Max is home. The adoption papers were signed on 12/11/25

I looked inside as best I could, even at the top and it's not on the inside. So yes it very well could be a surface scratch.

Checked out that other thread and a few have the scratch in the exact same place. Sounds like it's not a big deal.

Not saying one way or the other, it just rang a bell in my head that something like this had come up not long ago.

I would contact Ruger just to see what they say.

Yes, this was previously discussed. It is a 'tool mark' for lack of a better word. My Max has the same mark, at the same location.

Though I doubt it was the cause, I never dry fire without using dummies / snap caps. Just personal preference.

Interesting. Picked one of these up for a song recently. Will have to go whip it out to see if it has that same mark. Glad I saw this...thanks for posting!
