I put my LC9 through it's first 200 rounds today with not one glitch. I did use all 115gr. FMJ though. I have used XS Sights Big Dot Express sight system on other guns and think they would be an asset for the LC9. Just wondering if anyone has done this set up yet and how it worked out? Randy
 
I'd also like to hear from someone who's mounted the X/S sights on the LC9. My tired old eyes have trouble picking up the sights and I'm relying on the CT laser. I think the X/S could be a good "low-tech" fix, not relying on batteries.
 
SgtMackey, I have a set with the tritium front Big Dot and a white stripe rear Express Sight being delivered tomorrow and I will report on them with the LC9 when I get them on and shooting them. I have put these on a Sig 226 DAK before with very good results. I've been thinking of removing the rear sight from the slide of my LCP and installing one of the Big Dots on the front.
 
Received my XS Sights and got them installed last night. I didnt use the thead locker on the rear sight until I got home from shooting with the rear drifted and set screwed into position. These sights really make this gun comes alive it is up and on target fast and accurate. You dont really relalize just how much of a compact this gun is sometimes when your shooting it.
 
Can you post a picture of your LC9 with this sight set? I was thinking about some sight upgrade for mine as well. Thanks

I used a wooden vise on my wood carving bench to hold the slide and tapped the old sights out with a piece of brass. This gun was the easiest that I have ever removed drift sights from. You put the new ones back in after fitting them with a plastic punch that is supplied the the sights.

Thanks for the report and photos of the X/S sights on your LC9. They look like just what I need on mine. I think I'll order a set soon.

Does anyone have a shopping tip for a good price for the X/S sights?
