at the range today my first few mags fired fine. Then it started not to fully cock, I had to eject the round and it worked. Later as the gun warmed up more even if I rechambered a round, it might not engage the trigger. I have had the Galloway trigger kit installed by a gunsmith. The more I shot the worse the problem became. Any ideas on why this might be happening?

Heya Leif, I just didn't want ya to feel like you where being ignored. I think the reason you are not getting any responses is this really is something your gunsmith needs to look at. Even if someone correctly diagnosed the problem (unlikely over the internet). It sounds to me like something you'll probably be unable to fix yourself. In which case it's back to the gunsmith anyway. I suspect you don't want to return the pistol to factory condition and keep your new trigger kit, that's why I didn't suggest sending it back to Ruger.
There's the simple common problems that advice helps with on these boards. What you have going on with your LC9 is a level of complication above that I think. It probably does have something to do with the Galloway trigger kit or how it was installed. What exactly I wouldn't even dare to guess.

What kind of guarantee does your smith offer on his services? If he installed the kit, he should fix it, at no charge to you. This is a prime example of why I preach "No modifications to a self-defense gun!" Because it can get you killed. 'Nuff said.

Simply put.
It works or you die.
A gun should work. Out of the box! Regardless of ammo type. Regardless of cleaning methods (within a reasonable level of acceptability) Regardless of the magazines (Italian vs USA?? What a joke!)
Make a gun that works! If I have to spend a few (hundred) more dollars to get something that I can rely on, so be it! It's like a damn parachute, I'll only need it once anyway!
Enough of this, it's ok if i have to disassemble my gun, take parts out, clean it, fluff and buff it, before its reliable. NO! STOP!
Then if you're dead, it's STILL your fault. You didn't do it good enough! No! It's up to the manufacturer to make a product that works, right, the first time, every time, you pull that trigger!
Glock can do it right, Sig can do it right, S&W can do it right. There is a long list, I can keep going, they all get it right. The gun goes BANG. The moment you put yourself or your gunsmith into that equation, it leaves room for question in there.
The gun does it right off the bat! If it doesnt get a different gun. Lesson learned. If you or your gunsmith modify it, the margin for error grows.
If you don't like how the gun works out of the box, get a different gun!
How much is your life worth? Are your really going to risk asking the baddie to stop the assault so you can contact customer service to resolve and issue with your firearm? No. You're dead already.

PS None of this was directed towards Ruger in any way. Just don't know why people feel the need to %^&* with their primary defense weapon.
