LC9 Trigger

Anybody got a word on the trigger pull on the LC9? My wife needs a purse size pistol with a manual safety, due to her preference. We have tried the S&W Bodyguard 380 and a couple of other guns, but I want to hold off buying one until I learn more about the Ruger.

I believe the reviewer, Jeff, mentions something about the trigger pull and I think it was positive. He's active on the forum so you could ask him directly. Look for posts with the GunBlast logo as an avatar.

If she doesn't like a heavy pull and a 380 will do be sure to check out the Taurus TCP

Does it have a manual safety? She had a Kahr P9 but would not carry it because of the safety issue. I don't care one way or the other for myself, but I want to make sure she is comfortable with her carry piece. If not, I believe she will not consistently carry it.

Are you sure? The pics on Taurus' website appear to show only a slide stop.

The Taurus TCP does not have a safety, the Taurus "Slim" does.

I'm sorry, I thought you meant that the TCP had one. We handled a S&W Bodyguard 380, but the trigger seemed heavy to her. I am wondering if the S&W will lighten up after some use.

It should lighten up about the same as a gun that has a lighter trigger pull to begin with. I'd pass if was too heavy for her when she handled it.

The Bodyguard is much smaller. I guess it dependent on the size purse your wife carries.

I love my Bodyguard. AND the prices are falling to around $350. for used.

Dealer cost on these is about $300. I can buy one new locally for $350, but I also have access to dealer pricing through a gunsmith in the church I pastor. Being able to buy at dealer cost may endanger my ability to retire at any reasonable age.

Your wife will not be disappointed in the Bodyguard.

Wish I could have waited some to own the BG. I paid the local gun shop $469 (+ 7.75 % sales tax) for the 2nd one he received.
