LC9 stupid mistake

Ok.. I made a stupid mistake with my new LC9. I found two scratches on the inside of the frame. I believe it was caused by my racking the slide without the takedown pin installed.. I know, I know, stupid mistake. I have no way to take pics, but on the inside of the frame right through the hole on each side that accepts the takekown pin, there is a scrach that runs full length on both sides.

Is this only cosmetic in nature and am I just obsessing, or will this cause funtional problems? I belive I did it when I was initally cleaning it before taking it to the range as I noticed them when cleaning after the range. Other than one light pimer strike in 100+ rounds, there seemed to be no other problems.

Any input, besided telling my how stupid i am :) is appreciated.

You are right on that. I don't plan on putting this in the rotation for a few hundred more rounds that are trouble free as I can't be 100 percent sure it wasn't ammo.

Those are some pretty bad scratches. I think you should sell it and buy an new one since Ruger won't repair it as a warranty issue.

I dont know what you are talking about, "light primer strikes" my LC9 was shooting rounds out of the dud box at the range all day last weekend
