LC9-Slide to Frame Fit

The slide to frame fit on my LC9 appears loose. There is quite a bit of play both up and down and side to side.
Is this normal? Any solutions or nothing to worry about?

Normal (although "quite a bit of play" could mean different things to different people.) Call Ruger if you are unsure. They'll set you right and do you right.

On something like this a picture always helps if you can take one. That way other people with LC9s can compare and tell you how loose is "loose".

Mine fits fairly tight with little movement in either direction.

Mine moves very slightly left and right, but up and down i don't notice any movement at all. I don't know if the SS guide rod i have in does anything to "tighten things up," doubtful but just wanted to add that i do have that installed so my gun isnt completely stock.
