LC9 No tool needed

Hello, I purchased an LC9 last week to go with my LCP. I have about 150 rounds thru it with no problems. One thing I have not seen posted is you do not need a tool to disassemble it. All you need to do is remove the clip, push the tab down that holds the pin in place and slightly line the slide up with the hole and the pin will fall out. I am friends with a Ruger rep. and he showed me how to do it. I have read some posts that having a tool to disassemble the gun had turned them away from getting one. Hope this helps. I love the gun.

Yes, mine does the same. However, you are in for a BIG surprise if you want to tear it down completely for cleaning. :wink:

Thought you were talking about a detail strip vs. a field strip. Good post in the link you provided... :shock:

I stand corrected :D I have been calling them clips my entire life. Thanks for the info.
