I had someone remove the disconnect on my SR9. I looked at the LC9 and it seems the disconnect is different? Has anyone removed/disabled it? If so how?

I removed the disconnect on my LC9 and it was not to difficult, but it is completely different than SR9. There are some good videos on YouTube that show how it's done. I prefer the method where the trigger is removed, can't say there was much difference in trigger pull, but i do like not having it there. Watch the videos while you remove it and it should go smooth, it took me about 15 min. Thank you. Very helpful. Going to order up the RTK trigger once the link and hammer are available. Doing it all at one time.
I plan to use my LC9 for self defense only and I'd like to keep it as factory as possible including using only factory ammo. LC9 is neither a competition gun nor a gun you shoot for fun. The magazine disconnect is a good feature to have. After all, you aren't going to "slide forward, hammer down and holster", are you?

I use my LC9 for personal defense use and i use personal defense ammunition because it is the highest quality available. I removed the MDS because i don't like them, they were only added to comply with California laws, and California exempts law enforcement from that restriction. If someone likes the MDS then they are a good feature and they should have it, but if someone don't like the feature they are not good at all. It is a personal preference thing, what is best for one person is not always the best for others, kind of like some people prefer pistols and others prefer revolvers, neither one is wrong, just different.

I have several options for CCW. All of them for different situations. I have found there truly is no one and done CCW choice. And for the most part all of them have something "custom". My opinion is if I were in a situation that required me to act using my CCW I am expecting legal response. Being a stock gun and ammo or modified. I don't plan on allowing my personal decisions to be made by the thought that a lawyer might not like the decision. Also, consider they will attack whatever you use. In the Sandy Hook shooting they are trying to make a stock Glock out to be an assault type pistol. In the world we live in you will never be on the safe side. Just do what works best for you and let consequences fall where they may.
