Just took delivery on brand new Security 380. I need to clean and oil it, but based on the few dry fires (with snap caps) I've taken I'm imprerssed as it's lived up to the online reviews. And I took the Walther PPS it's replacing to the consignment store and waved bye-bye. (Yeah, I know 380 replacing a 9mm, but I am not feeling undergunned with the Ruger so there you go.)
A BIG HOWEVER!! As I live in WA state 10 round mags are legislated. So the 15-rounder it would have come with was left behind. I can sort of live with that.
Now after my visit to "dispose" of the Walther I went shopping for a couple more 10 round mags. And Ruger has a pair of them for about $60. A bit spendy.
More looking and I saw a bunch more for less...and then Grab a Gun has them for $40. Wow. That's a large-ish price difference. (There were other vendors with prices between 40 and 60.)
I don't get it. You'd think Ruger would be low price as they contract to have 'em made. No?
Anyway, bought the two from Grab a Gun (plus tax and shipping) and total was $53...less than just the mags alone from Ruger.
Go figure.
