LC9 & LCP Magazines

I know this has been talked about before, that one mag is made in the USA, the other in Italy.

I was just curious as I did not read. Which one comes with the gun, and which one is the aftermarket.

My LCP came with Italy, and spare mag I bought new also Italy.

My LC9 came with USA mag, although when I picked it up last week from my LGS from Davidson's, everything was wrapped new, except the mag looked used and thrown in the box and already had extended tip on it. No big deal, I cleaned it up.

My spare mag I just bought for the LC9 was Italy.

Does one certain one come packed with the guns ?

The one that came in the box with my wife's LC9 (2012) was made in Italy. The one I ordered from MidwayUSA recently was made in the US.

Appreciate the info. I guess it is a mix then for both USA/Italy and on both the LCP &LC9.
hmm. That is opposite of what I had with my new LC9 NRA edition, got last week.

My LCP got last July, both were Italy.

Got both my guns from Davidson's and both my spare mags on ebay (best prices I found)

We got some from 44mag.com and they were made in Italy same as the one that came with the LC9 they also came with both finger and flat bottom plates with each mag. I think they were $29.99 each. George

Mullet72, Sorry but the wife just informed me that we got her mags for her LC9 at Midwayusa.com.. But still they are made in Italy with the extra finger grips.. They were $29.99.. Just looked and there out of stock right now but will be back in stock 4/16/2013 They shipped fast for us as they were in stock.. But it's a good place to deal with.. Again sorry.. But 44mag.com do have other brand mags I got some S&W they were at my door in two days stranded shipping too.. George

no prob, thank you. I got MidwayUSA in the favorites folder already. I didn't know about the site before I grabbed a second mag. Got on ebay 34.99 with free shipping. Made in Italy also. My friend bought one online brand new in packaging and his was a USA, and the one that came with the gun was Italy. so I assume ruger mixes it up.

Here's a thought. Since the LC9 mags are either USA or Italy made. It might be possible to sub say a Beretta (Italy) mag for an LC9 mag. I know with a slight mod, an M9 Beretta mag will run a S&W 59. Anyone have any ideas. I'm not talking about significantly cheaper so I can save money. I'm suggesting supply diversity. Back against the wall, no LC9 mags to be had anywhere.Although the M9 mil mags can be had for $10 or less and the 59 mags are $40ish.
