LC9 front sight issue

My friend just got a new LC9 after about 200 rounds the front sight slides back and forth. We took off the slide to see if there was a screw to tighten the sight found none. How is the front sight secured to the gun,and how do you think I can fix this issue. Thanks for your help

Depending on just how loose of a fit you have you could try LockTight.

This is a known problem with the LC9. Call Ruger, they will send you a UPS label to send it back and fix it. If it's new, the front sight should be pinned in place.

Actually, call Ruger and they will send you a new complete slide with an envelope to send back the old one. Just went through this a little while ago. The new one will have a pin in it.

Yeah, I was happy they just sent one out and did not have to go through the hastle of waiting for mine to get to them and then them sending me a new one. Great service for sure
