LC9 finish?

Is the slide on the LC9 blued carbon steel or some propriatary finish over stainless such as the Nitron finish on a Sig or Tenifer on a Glock? I looked at the specifications on the Ruger site and was unable to find out. If I decide on the LC9 as a carry pistol I don't want to worry about corrosion.

Also, is the trigger plastic or steel?

I believe it's just blued. It seems to mar kinda easily

Well, not totally but they frown at it. No really-- it is hot and humid here. Blued gun finishes suffer and for that reason most of my carry guns are stainless or black stainless. I really like the melted shape of the LC9 frame and slide. But i think I will wait and see if they release one in a more "sweat resistant" finish.

Where about in 'East Texas' you from? Hot & Humid is definitely not the best condition for a blued gun, much less one you carry daily. You can take the gun and send it off for a blackened finish, when done well, rust is not an issue. Even in our heat and humidity.

For now, I'd just clean it regularly and oil as needed.
