Larry Kudlow Just had a Heart Attack.

That is a serious thing to happen to anyone, and I hope that he comes back strong.

I am 62 and I feel every day of it. If I have one myself, it won't stun me or anything; if it kills me, then I will be mildly surprised, as I go through the pearly gate.

Remember when we thought 70 was "ancient"?
Not so much now.

Boy, you got that right! I'll be 70 in a couple of months and it always seemed like a zillion years in the future. How quick it's come!

I will admit I smoke over a pack of cigarettes a day, I don't eat vegetables or fruit, (okay, maybe some fruit now and then), and I don't excercise a whit. However, I have cut out all suger in my diet and I don't eat pizza or any other junk foods from any of the major players like Burger King, McDonalds or whoever.

The best thing I've ever done was losing over 85 lbs. 7 years ago. I went from 245 lbs. to 155 lbs. and a waist size of 44" to 32" and have maintained it ever since.

I'm not implying anyone to smoke or not eat veggies or fruit and maybe I could die at anytime but I feel good at my age. I can't remember the last time I was sick. Maybe genetics have something to do with it but both my parents died in their 60's.

Sorry for the long diatribe but hopefully, I'll live to 71! :)

I hope you live longer than that. I'm shooting for 80 myself. I'll be 68 this year. Time has a way of creeping up on you. I don't smoke, never have. But I'm not a veggie eater either. I need to get off the sugar myself.

I just hit 77. The last couple of years have been a wake up call. I have been fighting kidney stones, two heart stents, lost my nose to cancer and now told I am kissing diabetes. I was about 280 lbs so I and the wife started walking a couple weeks ago. Totally changed our diet. So far I lost about 15 lbs. All my old friends are dead.

So sorry to hear of your maladies Bill. I've been very lucky concerning health concerns. Keep up the good work.

I believe losing weight is the best thing one can do health wise. I had mild diabetes and sky high cholesterol. After losing all the weight and changing our diet, (low carbs and no sugar), the cholesterol went to normal and the diabetes completely disappeared.

It wasn't easy as after the first 6 months I had only lost 5 lbs. I kept telling my wife I was quitting but I couldn't stand looking at my giant, bloated stomach so I trudged on.

In the 9th month the weight started almost magically melting away. By the 10th month my waist went from 44 to 38. It seemed like every 2 weeks I was buying new pants! At the one year mark I was down to 32" which I've maintained since.

I guess I'm bragging but mostly I'm proud of myself as my health has been wonderful ever since.

Oh yeah, Jack, I too hope I last until at least 80!
