Laminate compact in .308

I went to the local gun shop that I use the most and tried to order a Ruger Laminate Compact in .308 and they said its not availible!!!! Out of stock!!! Man it sux. I've been planning on picking one up for a long time.

Anyone have any idea when they may be availible again? And since I've heard the rumor that Ruger is going back to the satin finish, and will they be switching over the out of stock rifles first?

They are tiny little guns in that configuration. Good for stand hunting like most folks do in TX. I bet you'll find one if you keep your eyes open.

Your dealer should have looked at Ruger's website...its still listed there.
When they produce a compact laminate in .308 will depend on Ruger's production schedule...same with when they change back to the old satin finish.

When you look at the the "order" section on Rugers website you are forwarded to another website and it says the availibility is 0.

Availibilty of 0 does not mean discontinued. And that is only one distributor. If a model is listed on the Ruger website it is being or most likely will be produced at some point. Ruger has gotten a lot better lately about actually producing what they advertise. I am sure the fact that it is early in the year and the change over of the finish that Ruger has alot on it's plate right now. Give them a little time. I would also try a few different dealers. Not every shop uses the same distributors. So you might find a shop that can order you one from someone your shop does not deal with.
