laminate compact available?

I still can't find any info on Rugers site about the Laminate Compact .308's in stainless steel. I've been wanting one for a while and i've tried contatcing Ruger 3 times about availability and they never answer back. Plus my local dealer can't seem to find them either... its frustrating.

Are they producing any this year or do I need to start looking at a pre owned one?

That said, a search for "Ruger 17110" turns up a lot of "Out of Stock" at various vendors.

Yup. Out of stock or unavailable is what I keep coming up with too.

Lean manufacturing...basically, until the distributors order them, they're not scheduled for production. Even then, I'm guessing a small demand item with get a back seat over the higher demand items.
