Hope you have a good visit with your son. Also hope you brought both rain gear and sunscreen in case the forecast for sunny weather this weekend actually happens. You know about the forecast while "the fair" is going on. Enjoy

The "Old Coots on Scoots", a handful of motorcycle riding retirees, are taking off early Sunday for about a week to go ride the Dragon's Tail and some of the other fine roads in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Sunday morning on a holiday weekend ought to be the best Chicago traffic I've ever experienced. We'll probably go well out of our way to avoid Chicago on the way home.

Yes I am well aware of "the fair" weather   We went on Thursday when they predicted rain 8) 8) Glad I had my sun glasses. Still had fun. Lots of people go to eat the goodies. I went for the raffles. Spent way to much, for some good causes. Be nice to win somethng. I do this every year and have never won anything from the fair raffles. Still was fun to see several friends.

I was supposed to be working in Seattle over the weekend, in a support role for our mechanics with delivery of our first 787-9 delivery.
Flew up there yesterday. After we landed in SEA, I turned on my phone and found LOTS of bad news.
A friend of mine was trying to use a buddy pass to get home from McAllen, TX (her step-mother had died) to home in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She was stuck in Houston and having a bad day.
Another voicemail went with the email, saying that the bankers were starting a long weekend a bit early and the papers and the check for the 787-9 won't get signed until Tuesday. So I stayed overnight and came home to DEN for the holiday weekend.
Back to SEA on Tuesday. But I get to be home for the weekend, at least.
Going to a BBQ with some of my wife's co-workers tomorrow, and out to Eastern Colorado on Monday to continue to prep my late brother's place to sell.
Should be a good weekend.
