Labor Day

Yupper, most certainly was. Son showed up early to try to get as much done as possible. Some mechanic work followed by 6 hours of working on the new corral at the north place followed up by more fix-it work.
I called it a day but he went dove hunting just before dark. I guess I used to be like that --35 years ago.
My butt is still dragging this morning but still have an entire list of stuff for this coming week. Heck, I might even go dove hunting since they seem to be liking one of our food plots.

I finished digging the third footing hole for the addition on the back of our house.... took me about 3 hours to dig a 2ft x 2f... 14 inch deep hole, mostly through hard dry red clay.

Went to Rollag MN for one of the world's largest Steam power/Steam era shows. 600 acres with 2 steam locomotives, steam shovels, probably 1000 one lung farm engines and 100 buildings packed with operating machines.

Went moose hunting on the Denali Highway here in Alaska. Saw a couple of cows and a sub-legal bull with about a 36inch rack. It rained all day as usual but it was a good Labor Day.
