Picked up this KMK10 last month with laminate grips. It is NIB but I figured someone changed grips. I noticed tonight on the label on the box there is an L in a circle. First time I have seen that and this is the first 10" pistol I have seen with laminate grips. Is it something I have just missed on other 10" KMKs and MKs?

Looks like the "L" might have been applied to the sticker by somebody (the distributor?) after the gun left the factory.
The catalog number and model number though are both for the KMK10. If a model is produced that is somehow different than regular production, Ruger usually changes the catalog number and model number to reflect the difference. Chances are if you were to call the factory for verification of the laminates, they will only tell you KMK10.
But, Ruger is known to have shipped models to distributors without grips (usually with an "NG" after the catalog number). If you call the factory and they tell you it is any different than KMK10, be sure to let me know. I'd need to get that one in the reference.

The factory D&T MKIIs that left the factory at the last of the MKII runs were marked with a B in a circle just like this L in a circle.

Yeah, that's right. Those were kind of hand stamped too weren't they? Well, if your first try with the factory only gets you the KMK10 reply, perhaps they can go to the invoice to see if they were specially ordered with the laminate grips. If so, it would be nice to know who the distributor was because they probably did other models with laminate as well.
