The boss got in about 30 of the stainless government model Minis. All but two had Choate stocks, I got one with the wood stock, a buddy of mine got the other. One of the prisons that used them here for years traded them in for shotguns. Got it and 6 20 round mags. I already have one of the new ones, but it don't hurt to have more, right?

Congrats on the new Mini.

I like the 16" barrel models best... glad they offer it as a regular item these days.

Finally got around to taking a pic. My picture taking skills are lacking, as is my camera, but this is the best I can do. I took it out and shot 100 rounds through it today, as expected, zero malfunctions. Accuracy was not as bad as a expected from this old of a Mini. I was actually getting 2 and 3 inch groups at 75 yards, which is about as good as these old eyes can do anyway with peep sights. First target it was shooting over a foot high, so I dialed it down, and it seemed to hold it's zero fairly well. (Those guys at the prison where it came from must have optimistically sighted it in at 300 yards!)

As prison guns, they were probably setup to shoot steeply downhill, like from the top of the wall to the ground. With a conventional zero, you'd have to hold low for that.
