I watched part of that movie. Certainly displayed the futility of using 'edged weapon' tactics against machine gun technology.

It's amazing how the Generals would sit back and send thousands of men into such a situation. I also find it appalling that even on November 11 just before 11 AM people were still fighting. I think Pershing has to answer to congress for the losses.
Paths of Glory is also good. Story of a French officer (Kirk Douglas) Fighting the Generals to keep his men from slaughter.
Crock, a cartoon drawn by wizard of id artist. Two soldiers morning conversation. (Yawn), just got back from Dawn Patrol/ how'd it go?/ slow at times, but not bad for an old flick!

Braker Morant and battleship Potemkin are true classics. and "attention getters".
Sergeant York is always good, although a good portion of the movie takes place before the military duty.
In Paths of Glory, Wayne Morris plays a coward. In real life he was a Navy pilot in WW2 with 4 Distinguished Flying Crosses

Great must see movie for sure Ricky Schroeder is a very under rated Actor. Loved him and William Holden in the Australian move the "Earthling".
I watched the posted movie. I just wish they would have spoken American English so I could have understood what the hell they were saying. :-) No I could not find the sub-title switch.
