Does anyone know anything about a gunsmith named J. D. Wise, maybe in California? One of my uncle's guns is a Remington 600, originally in .222. It is clearly (and elegantly) marked as rechambered for .223, by Wise. It wears a Weatherby 2x to 7x scope, and was his ground squirrel rifle in California. He bought it in a pool hall.
