I took a few moments to snap some glamor shots of my .45 Colt Blackhawks and a matching Bark River Bowie. All three have antique ivory Micarta grips. I had a hard time getting the light just right with the crappy camera I was using. what looks like color variations between the grips is just the light angle. I love this set.

Great looking set there. I have a set of American Holly on a blues single six. It's got that same hue of golden yellow. I've always wanted a pair of Ivory Micarta grips...someday I suppose.

Who made these? You or someone else?

Oh, and I'm happy to see you opted to not have grip medallions on them. For some reason, aftermarket grips with Ruger medallions don't seem right.

I went with Micarta because I hunt and woods bum with my guns and nothing is as durable as Micarta but still has most of the positive aspects of real ivory. Aspects like responding to the oils in your hands like bone or ivory, changing colors as it ages.
