Hi,
And time to remember a couple of things we do each year:
First, to Ruffbird and all our friends above the 49th, Happy Canada Day! I hope you guys can really enjoy some "normal" celebrations after such a rough last year or so.
Then, on the 3rd, quite a few of us will remember our old friend, Jim Blair, known here as "Piper." You're certainly missed, Pipes, but hardly forgotten!
And, of course, the 4th of July, Independence Day, here in the States. A lot of people think of this day simply as a great day to BBQ and watch fireworks shows, which it is, but deeper than that, especially with the condition the country's in with its divisions and problems, we need to look back to that day in 1776 when our Founding Fathers gave us the "Mission Statement" that defined so much of what we were, and still are, trying to build in this country. Far too many people think it's a done deal, not realizing that we must work every day to achieve what they envisioned.
So while you're enjoying the BBQs and all, please take a moment or two to remember something about this month that makes it special for you! Happy July!
