OK, found one at the Reliant Center gunshow this weekend, and took it out yesterday to try it out for the first time. Was having trouble hitting coke cans at 10 yds and got to looking at the sights. The front site was canted left, and the rear sight was all the way to the right. Sight won't move when I adjust the screw on the right side of the base. Does the screw press the sight blade against a spring? Looks like it will be going back to Ruger for attention.

I like the little pistol otherwise.

I just replaced my rear sight blade with one with a white outline. There is a spring inside the base of the sight on the left side (from normal firing position). This tends to push the sight to the right, while the set screw limits its travel right and allows you to adjust (supposedly) the sight windage. Given that you have problems with both sights and the gun is new, it sounds like it should go back to Ruger.
