Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam has signed a bill that requires public buildings to install metal detector and hire security guards and do searches of entrants, or allow permit holders to carry their guns inside.

Supposedly the bill also holds those responsible for any harm or loss to permit holders who suffer loss due to being disarmed by signage.
