I finally understand. I just got my first set of Stag grips in the mail from Sack Peterson today. Boy oh boy. I bought the gun new, October 2006. I've had the black plastic grips on it until today and I won't ever ever go back. Thank you very much Sack Peterson.

I should also add, camel bone knife I put together from one of those knife kits and I removed the barrel warning from the gun. After that I took a green scotch brite pad and knocked off the high gloss finish. I know collectors are fainting, but it's never going to be sold, and I like it. It's a shooter.

They also feel so good. Before I ordered them I put the question up in the lounge about getting medallions or not. I glad I didn't request them, after all the grips aren't from Ruger. But also I didn't want to interrupt the overall flow of the grip.

I'm very happy.
 
Beautiful! I think you may have just cost me some money. BTW, I noticed what you did to the finish on the Vaquero...and I like it! :)

The set he did for my SSNV 5 years ago are as nice as can be. He is a pro.
 
Yeah, I remember when I got my first set of stag. I was hooked after that! Now I own some from just about every popular maker. Looks great on yours.
