Miss me? Everybody doing well and nobody has shot anyone (Verbally of course!) Everyone behaving?

Been away 'cuz of heart problems and a couple of other issues. Just out of 4 days in ICU and CCU and a temporary pacemaker installed (2 trips earlier this year!). REMOVING it was a pain!!

Other issues: My wife bought me a Land Cruiser for Valentine's Day (Well, she told me to use my money but she said "GO AHEAD"). Not just any TLC but an FJ40! WE named it the "Mud Sloth" in honor of the roads in the PNW and because sloths are the only naturally green mammal due to an algae that only grows on their fur. I also was spending time building up my "boo fly rod collection!.

Anyway, I'm back and full pf p+++ and vinegar to keep you guys in line!

Good to have you back.

Sorry for your health problems but glad you’re on the mend.

I remember you unloading several guns.

Heart trouble, recovering it seems, or I hope! Now, a new to you FJ40. A couple of wins I think.

After 20 or 50 guns the rest are kinda redundant maybe?

But anyway, welcome back.

I'm pleased you are well and healthy. I have kept you in my prayers since learning of your health issues. :)

My late father owned a 1974 FJ 40, and I well remember the fun we had hunting and wheeling in that rig. We ultimately opted to swap out the straight six for a 327 small block V8. Mostly because that vintage of FJs had head problems.

At any rate, great to have you back! 8)

Good to hear from you!

Thanks for the update.

Or are you just taunting us with all the fun you’re having???

Be well...

Monty

How long were you gone?

Stay healthy!

I've had several episodes this year. Four ER stays with 3 ICU and 2 CCU. Seems we have now balanced my BP pills, and diabetes meds. Feeling stupendous and getting better daily. Working on my new FJ40 a couple of hours a day. Watching my diet, start exercising again next week. Went from Condition Red to Condition Yellow re: the heart. BP is great!, hear rate up!, sugar "OK" (needs to improve), weight down! (further to go).

Dr. cleared me yesterday for a fall trip to go to Yellowstone and fly fish the Madison with one of my cane rods and dry flies. See Cardiology next week and see if they agree (talked to them last week and they voiced no objections).

Still not up to an elk hunt though! ;-(. Even planted pheasant might be a bit much.

Another welcome back and stay healthy. I really love those old Landcruiser's my dad had 2 way back when.
I wanted 1 bad for years, but they became classic's and kind of priced me out. I nearly bought a stock 1 anyway in 2009. I ended up with a great deal on a nice 2002 trail blazer, not much of a off road vehicle but had 260,000 mostly trouble free miles on it when I sold it.
Last fall I found a H3 while awaiting service work on my car. It was and still is a low mileage in excellent shape vehicle. It's my go to exploring Idaho vehicle.

This is my second. First was an '83 but had Cali smog issues. Regretted selling it for 30+years. Hunted pig at Hunter Liggett, drove the old Mojave Trail/Road in it, explored Angeles Forest from the San Berdoo County line to Malibu, mostly on jeep trails. Traded it in on a '85 SR5 P/u that went 325K before I sold it. Became a Toyota Family again after I bought the wife a '19 4Runner (Very low miles) a month ago.
