illegal Chinese fishing

In yet another story ignored by ALL U.S. media, Chinese fishing fleets have invaded Japanese, Indonesian, African, and South American fishing grounds. Several have been captured or destroyed. They follow NO international agreements on fishing. Just search "Chinese fishing fleet" for numerous stories.

I have to wonder if China is more desperate to feed its people then they are letting on. Quite frankly when Trump stopped the grain imports the Chinese were very quick and very anxious to make new agreements on trade. Now the breaking of other agreements on fishing. I really have to wonder…

New England has it's problems with the decline of cod and haddock. When I was a young man we use to
fish out of Rye Harbor, heck back then in the late 60's an average fish was probably 30 lbs My personal record
68 lbs. Last time I went about 3 years ago we caught some but they were all small maybe 2 to 5 lbs fish. It was disgusting. Georges Bank is were we fish it's about 35 miles out of Rye. 200 or so deep it's a 800 sq mile
plateau in about 200 ft of water. Sure hope it recovers it's a shame. The Comercial fishing fleet does a number out there. Trump opened some new water that has been closed for a very long time this past spring!
People are tickled about it to far out for us tho, no way we could do it! Thing is it will take the heat off of the Banks!! ps

Story I read tallied 262 vessels headed to the area of the Galapagos Islands. Vessels large(very large processing ships) and small. It wouldn't take long to deplete the waters there like they did off the east coast of Africa, turning their fishing fleets into fleets of pirates. For too long the oceans have been looked around as an inexhaustible supply store for us. That and the World's garbage dump.

We talk about an uprising here in this country and I think specifically what would happen if we had no food to eat and our population of 300+million was going hungry..... think what if would be like with 4-5 times that many starving?

A few torpedoes would have short term effect on the environment. In the 1700s & 1800s, anyone caught on a pirate ship was considered a pirate (unless they were obviously prisoners) and hung on the spot. Confiscate the boats and hang the crews!
