....Love the one you're with, lol!

Just got half my fix completed yesterday and would like to give a "Big Thanks" shout out to bedrockfred who wouldn't sell me his blued Talo, lol, and told me to look around for one. Well, I did, and it didn't take but one quick ride to my local shop and BOOM! Brand new in box, papers, lock, shell, etc, Stainless Talo Vaquero Birdshead in 45ACP, last one left! Now, I know I really want the blued one still, so I am still on the hunt for that'n in 45ACP, but this purdy shootin iron is going to tide me over for the time being.

Well, yesterday (Sunday), I called Mississippi GM and they do have one left in 45ACP, blued, but about $150 more than I got this SS one for which is OK but by the time I have all the jingle saved up, it will probably be ghost :(, Thx again, glocksrus and Joe S.

Thank you, Wheelyfun44, for the photo, it actually does help....a lil', lol! And yes, to have both, would be dreamy! Beautiful grips, BTW!

As to GasGuzzler's ?, No Sir, ain't no radio host here, the name's Shane and I am an Architectural Metals, Division 5, Estimator here in Phoenix. Funny, but I should have googled my screen name before I picked it, lol....there are some strange cats out there under my screen name, like some goofy kid on youtube in europe somewhere, I think, lol....Aw well, live and learn :)

And a big thank you to NickW, Wheelyfun44, WendyZXZ, for the compliments! I gotta tell y'all, this piece has raised the eyebrows of all whom have seen it in person, so far :)

Hey Sturm,
How much did they say it was? I called this morning and they said they didnt have it. But the 45lc's were 599. I called back. Guy is supposed to double check and call me back...

Aw dang! Well he said, to me over the phone, as he was holding a 45 ACP roll marked model in his hand @ $699.00. I just got my SS one on Saturday around noon-ish for $549.00 + tax. I told him I was in AZ and maybe he gave me a shipped price....? Anyhoo, I told him about this post and figured someone would see it and nab it up before I could this Friday.... :( I begged and pleaded to hold it till Friday or if I could secure it with a deposit and he said they couldn't do that. Talk about a turn in the stomach, lol! Well, good luck if you're a lookin' Joe!

Unless one of you guys get it - it will probly still be there. They have had it awhile. And yes they are high on their prices.

I'm not too worried about the price, just that I won't have the jingle till Friday....I'm heading back to the shop I got mine at today after work to peruse, further, their Ruger selection. I got so dern excited Saturday that I didn't even look for the blued one when I was there. I won't be able to "make the call" till Friday, so my fingers will be cramped from havin them crossed all week, lol.

You might check with a Forum member here, he posts' often in the classifieds. I got a blue, birdshead vaquero 45 ACP from him a few months back. He might still have some or know where to get them. He's good people to deal with.

In addition, get to I am also getting a very awesome holster from another guy he knows shipped from Oregon that is absolutely the best bang for the buck I've seen in a long, long time....and made it in 24 hours!

So the ones out there are, as they were, up for grabs and I will be stone-set by Friday evening....Pics to follow, this weekend, my friends! For all who are looking keep up your search, with good luck and good friends, I have landed two within a week.

Yeah, I too, am lurking around my buddy's safe for one of his Smith's, but it's a 629-4 in 4" completely mint, unfired in box, with all provenance and the tool steel innards, no MIM, and S&W enhancement pkg....go big or go home, right? It will be my first 44Mag as well.

Good luck in your search partner, I will keep my fingers crossed for ya!
