Would redesign the Pro 1000 based off the Classic Turret Press, I would buy one in a Heartbeat. What are your thoughts? Anyone who owns a Pro 1000, would you upgrade?........................

Now why did you have to go and remind me of that horrid thing I have in the basement? Just when I had forgot it was down there.....
On a serious note, I would in a heartbeat. I have never had as much trouble with a press as that 1000.

I consider giving up my two Pro 1000s for a Classic Turret to be the best upgrade I have ever made.Chief_10Beers said:
Seriously, I did not like the primer feed of the Pro-1000, the way the spent primers drop, the (relative) complexity of caliber changes and I never did get used to watching simultaneous multiple processes. The first three could be fixed by redesigning the press, but the last one is me.
Redesigning the press would help little with my comfort level, so I would probably not give up my Lee Classic Turret for any progressive press unless I really needed a lot more quantity.
