In my neck of these United States I've noticed more people selling (or attempting) to sell their .22 firearms. I've seen some nice Remingtons, Winchesters and Marlins lately.... along with other brands. Lots of inexpensive single shot rifles, too. Problem is, these folks are asking for top dollar for these guns. Of course, I'm not gonna bite at their prices. They can't find ammo to feed it and they ain't gonna sell it at the prices their asking.

Oh well..... I'll just sit tight and guard my cache of .22 ammo (lots of it squirreled away in different places) ;) I'm sure that sooner or later I'll luck into a good deal on an older .22 rifle or pistol. 8)

Now ,ay be the best time to find what you want. I wouldn't let ammo stop me from buying what I wanted. There will always be opportunity to get the ammo later. Besides, the search is half the fun!

In the last couple of months, I've gotten three good deals on .22's hand guns that don't usually come up for sale. Eventually .22 ammo will be readily available again. If I see another good deal on a MKII that I like I would buy it for sure. Ed

I'm not so sure .22 will be readily available again... It's been over 2 years now and no sign of letting up. Hit Walmart again yesterday and got some great deals on 9 mm 115 Gr, but the kid said "The .22 is bought up before it gets here". If they get one box, one guy shows up. If they get 4 boxes, 2 guys show up. If they get 9 boxes, 3 guys show up, etc. etc.

They know what's there and they know how many people to bring to take it all @ 3 boxes per customer.

I don't see it changing.

I just saw a mk1 for sale seller wanted $100.00 more than what their going for around here
