Just got home from bypass surgery, quad, but I guess once they take the limb loppers to you,it doesn't really matter how many once they get in there.
Every one has said how much better you will feel after getting this done!
So far,all I have felt is getting yelled at every time I try to get up and do something on my own,and I can't stand not to be able to do. :?

Give it time. You’ll be as good as new or newer once you recover fully. You can guess how I know. Let everyone take care of you. It scared them too and they want you back.

.

You should bite the bullet, and give your body some time to heal - unless, of course, you have a death wish. ;)

From the way you are talking, it sounds like they spread your sternum. I haven't had that done, but was in a car wreck years ago and broke mine. Your's has to be even worse, and I was in plenty of discomfort. Prayers that you heal up soon.

It will get better. Do not do like stupid here and push too hard. It just hurts more and takes longer They say three to four months and they mean it. The entire upper body pivots on the sternum. And don’t sneeze.

Yes ,I know it will take as much patience as I can muster, because I am used to doing, and never was one to sit around.
And Jeepnik,I have sneezed twice, and hope to never again LOL

Keep several kleenex with you. If you feel you are about to sneeze, blow your nose.
Works most of the time, since a sneeze is the body's way of cleaning out your nose.

You forgot one thing . . . . they told you how good it would feel . . . . they didn't say
when that would begin.

Good luck with. 8)

Think of it this way. You are the king, and your subjects await your pleasure. It is their pleasure to do things for you. It will wear off! Relax and enjoy it for awhile. Get better!

Ponder why you were born and lived in a time (and place) where the doctors and technology were there to split you like a chicken and fix things inside your chest. Instead of anytime else, and anywhere else.

And then ponder what purpose you have yet to serve. ...someone stirs his coffee somewhere, glad to have the breath to look at the clouds above...

Get better, get moving.
