I need help about holsters for my sr9

I know nothing about concealed carry and want to start soon. I think with the right clothing I can conceal sr9. Can't really afford the lc9 right now.

So, i am reading that inside the pant holster might be best? Would the gun be most concealable inside the waistband located at my rear or do you prefer side? Pls give me some opinions and pics if possible. I don't need to carry clips because the gun is already heavy

I think most people after experimenting decide on inside the IWB carry method but not all. As far as the position on your hip that's pretty unique based on your body type. I carry at around 3 o clock but other's prefer 4 or 4:30 that's something your going to have to work out when you get the holster.

I use the DeSantis "Intruder" holster. Most will tell you to get some of the upper tier holsters right away to avoid wasting money, but since your unsure of if your even going to carry IWB, or at what position, a cheaper IWB holster may be the way to go at first. At least until you decide if that's how you are in fact going to carry.

The DeSantis I'm very happy with, I got mine for about $45 bucks but I'm very happy with the quality. The other advantage to that type of holster for you is it can be worn at 3,4,5 o'clock ect so you can learn what you prefer. After some experience with it you can make a more educated decision, because not all holsters carry well in all positions, some are more forgiving to various positions then others.

I like the IWB carry, for me I like out right around the 7:30/8 position (lefty). Basically a little before my back pocket. Anything beyond that doesn't feel comfortable.

For CC I use the Crossbreed Supertuck for my SR9. Conceals very well and very comfortable. The few times I've carried with shirt tucked, it worked really well. Untucked, I can carry concealed with just a T-shirt. Great product with awesome customer service.

Carry mine in an Uncle Mikes vertical shoulder holster which once held my Browning HiPower and S&W 639. Easiest way I've found to carry comfortably any full size semi auto is shoulder carry, but that seems to be giving way to waistband carry these days.

I have thought a little about shoulder carry. I was worried about carrying a full size semi and constantly pulling my pants up. I wasn't even thinking of having an extra clip. But with shoulder carry I just change my shirts.

I have one for my LC9. Decent item for the money. It carries well.

When getting any waist holster, especially IWB, get a decent gun belt. Essential to keeping the rig tight to your body and aiding in keeping your rig from drooping.

If going to shoulder carry, train and practice to draw so you don't sweep yourself and others.

It is thin, lightweight, and weather resistant, just like your SR9.

I like to recommend this holster to those new to carrying, even though it is really marketed to the "tactical experts". This holster will allow you to adjust the ride height and cant of the holster just by moving the attachments. You can also get IWB attachments to allow you to wear the holster either IWB or OWB. This gives you the ability to try out different wear positions with just one holster. You may eventually settle on something else, but this holster will make it easier to figure out what works best for you.
