I shortened the rail and installed Majestic Arms Coco Bolo grips today. Love the grips they feel great and look pretty good too.

It's hard to tell in the picture but how do you like the fit of the rail after you shortened it? I got my Mark II drilled and tapped for a red dot and the rail hanging out over the barrel is annoying.

First time I put my rail and red dot on I said YUCK.
Off it came, took my hacksaw to it till it was JUST RIGHT.
Can't believe Ruger or some aftermarket guy isn't making a short one. With all the red dots and halographics around now that's all you need in length.
