My MKII lower with a 22/45 upper. What's a good type ammo to run in this thing? My 25 yard groups are not so good with bulk Remington and Federal.

No one here can tell you that, only the gun can.

Try the Gemtech subsonic. It has proven fabulously accurate in several guns I have run it in.

My threaded 10/22 has a heavier bolt handle and the middle Kidd spring. It runs 95% with CCI SV, but barely has enough juice to cycle the action w/o the can. The Gemtech cycles it with or without the can, and is more accurate. Of course it is more expensive.

It supposedly is cleaner, which helps. The can gets nasty.

I can give you a few candidates to try. Mine seem to like Federal Gold Medal 711B, CCI Standard Velocity and Green Tag. Mine seem to shoot everything well. These days I buy on price and availability.

Ditto on CCI Standard Vel. My MKII/Tactsol w/SWR's Spectre shoots very tight groups and has never hicupped.
