A few months ago I designed a knife called the Appalachia Special as a gift for my brother and then later a scaled down pocket version of the same knife called the Mini Appalachia. The knives were made by John of JK Handmade Knives and he did a beautiful job bringing the designs to life. I was very pleased with the way they turned out so John and I ended up working out a deal where I would exclusively be carrying some of these in stock on my website.

Not long ago I sent John another design that would be in between the size of the Appalachia Special and Mini. I just received the results yesterday and thought I'd share some photos. I couldn't be more pleased with the way these turned out and they feel great in hand.

This one is called the PA or Personal Assistant.

The Specs:
6 3/4" OAL
O1 Tool steel
1/8" thick
3 1/8" drop point blade
2 7/8" cutting edge
3 5/8" handle
Brass pins and lanyard hole

Hi,

Good looking knife--I think I like the Micarta better than the tulipwood but they're both nice! Also find slightly longer handles such as you used on the PA more comfortable to use than those like the previous Mini's more "concealable" shorty uses...

Thanks for the pictures!

Looks like a useful size. I think the wood grips look better but the Micarta is probably grippier.
Nice design!
